Application
Procedure
1. Please download the Guidelines File (pdf file)
check your basic qualifications and send us an email in order to receive the application forms.
2. How to Receive Application forms (by email only):
The application forms will be available at the Culture Section of the Embassy.
You must contact us only by email: info@tl.mofa.go.jp
In your email please specify:
1.Full Name
2.Nationality (only Israeli Passport + Israeli ID holder can apply)
3.Age (only whose date of birth is between April 2, 1991 and April 1, 1996 can apply)
4.Sex
5.Have you completed / about to complete your high school studies?
6.Are you about to enroll / complete your military duties, and when?
Only those who qualify will receive the application set by email.
3. Prepare 3 sets of documents and submit by hand by the prescribed deadline:
All required documents are to be fully and correctly completed. Incomplete documents will be disqualified.
All attached documents submitted will not be returned.
Official documents must be submitted in English or in Japanese ONLY.
In case your school does not issue some document in English, you must submit an original document
+ a translation into English.

Deadline for SUBMITTING application forms to the Embassy: Thursday, July 5, 2012
4. Selection Procedures:
All procedures will be handled by the 2013 Undergraduate Student Scholarship Selection Committee,
organized by the Embassy of Japan.
If you pass the first document screening (July - August 2012),
you will be invited for written examinations (mid-August 2012)
and an interview by the committee (mid-August 2011) .
The exact dates will be informed later only to applicants who will pass the document screening.
The committee will select the final candidate who will be recommended to the Ministry of Education in Japan
(MEXT)(August 2012).
The final result from the Ministry of Education in Japan (MEXT) will be announced in December 2012.
