
Japanese Government Undergraduate Student Scholarship Program 2014 – for Israeli Citizen
Japanese Ministry of Education (MEXT) offers scholarship for 2014 for 1 year Japanese language studies + 4 Years Bachelor Studies, at Japanese University,
as Japanese Government Scholarship student (Undergraduate Student).
Periods of Scholarship:
1. Totally 5 years from April 2014 – till March 2019
2. The first year will be focused on Japanese preparatory language courses(April 2014 – till March 2015)

Qualifications(here are only part of them):
1. Nationality: Israeli Passport holder & Israeli ID Card holder
2. Applicant must been born between April 2, 1992 and April 1, 1997
3. Applicant must either have completed a 12-year regular course of school education or have graduated from a school equivalent to an upper secondary school in Japan

Only those who can be qualified with all the eligibilities, will receive the application set by email.
Preparing Applications:
Prepare 3 sets of documents and submit by hand by the prescribed deadline:
All required documents are to be fully and correctly completed. Incomplete documents will be disqualified.
All attached documents submitted will not be returned.
Official documents must be submitted in English or in Japanese ONLY.
In case your school does not issue some document in English, you must submit an original document + a translation into English.

Selection Procedure:
All procedures will be handled by the 2014 Undergraduate Student Scholarship Selection Committee,
organized by the Embassy of Japan.
1. Document Screening:
If you pass the first document screening (July - August 2013), you will be invited for written examinations (mid-August 2013)
and an interview by the committee (mid-August 2013) .
2. Subjects of written examinations & Interview
Written examinations:
1. Social Sciences & Humanities: Mathematics, English and Japanese.
2. Natural Sciences A or B or C: Mathematics, English, Japanese and 2 subjects from among Physics/Chemistry/Biology

The exact dates will be informed later only to applicants who will pass the document screening.
Selecting final candidates to MEXT: After the interview, the committee will select the final candidate who will be recommended to the Ministry of Education in Japan (MEXT)(August 2013).
Result from MEXT: The final result from the Ministry of Education in Japan (MEXT) will be announced in December 2012.
