On February 19, 2013, Ambassador and Mrs. Sato hosted a reception celebrating the very first distribution of Hamachi (Japanese Yellowtail) to the Israeli market. Among over 100 guests were famous restaurant chefs and owners, journalists and food importers. They learned the fascinating background of the yellowtail fish, known in Japanese as Hamachi, and enjoyed demonstration on now to fillet the fish. They tasted several Hamachi dishes including sushi, ceviche, carpaccio, teriyaki, shioyaki (grilled with salt) and simmered Kama (Collar). |
