Embassy of Japan in cooperation with the Israel Japan Friendship Society The "Hibuki" Project: Therapeutic intervention following the Japanese tsunami disaster Dr. Shai Hen-Gal |

Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11:00 The Museum Tower, 19th floor 4 Berkowitz St., Tel Aviv The lecture describes the " Hibuki " intervention project carried out in north-east Japan following the tsunami disaster. The project was developed by Israel JOINT "Ashalim", the University of Tel Aviv and the Israel Department of Education after the second Lebanese war with Israel. The program employs the use of a stuffed animal doll as a therapeutic aide for traumatized children. The project has been operating in Israel the past years, reaching close to 50,000 children with research results presenting a significant improvement in the wellbeing of children participating in the project. Following the tsunami disaster, the JPTA (Japanese Puppet Therapy Association) appealed for training in the " Hibuki " project in order to aide Japanese preschool children suffering from trauma and emotional distress after the tsunami struck the Sendai and Ofunato districts. The lecture describes the assistance given by an Israeli team in Japan during the past two years. The intervention which included practical and learning seminars on the " Hibuki " project and its rationale was given to healthcare professionals, hospital staff, universities, and preschool teachers. Additionally, direct intervention was done with hundreds preschool children and their parents that were hurt by the tsunami in the Sendai district. This mission to Japan was on behalf the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Israeli Embassy, Tokyo, and the Israel JOINT organization. Among the participants were Dr. Flora Mor, Dr. Shai Hen-Gal from the "Ashaslim-Joint Israel", and Ms. Daniela Hadassi on behalf of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr. Shai Hen-Gal: Clinical psychology, Developing and supervising projects of stress and trauma situations at the Ashalim, Joint Israel and the Ministry of Education. Head of the psychological services at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, Lecturer at the Department of Education, Haifa University. The lecture is accompanied by photos and movies taken for the duration of the intervention. The lecture will be in hebrew. |
פרויקט חיבוקי: התערבות טיפולית ביפאן בעקבות אסון הצונאמי ד"ר שי חן-גל ביום שישי 22 במרץ 2013 בשעה 11:00 בספריית שגרירות יפן מגדל המוזיאון רחוב ברקוביץ 4, קומה 19, תל אביב. ההרצאה תתאר את פרויקט התערובת חיבוקי שהתבצע בצפון מזרח יפאן בעקבות אסון הצונאמי. פרויקט חיבוקי הינו פרויקט שפותח בארץ בעקבות מלחמת לבנון השניה ע"י אשלים גוינט ישראל, משרד החינוך ואוניברסיטת תל אביב. הפרויקט מתבסס על שימוש בבובת כלבלב לצורך טיפול בילדים הנמצאים במצבי מצוקה וחרדה. הפרויקט הפועל בארץ בשנים האחרונות בקרב כ-50,000 ילדים ולווה במחקר הערכה שהצביע על השיפור המשמעותי במצבים של ילדים שקבלו את הפרויקט. לאחר אסון הצונאמי פנה ארגון ה-JPTA (Japanese Puppet Therapy Association) וביקש ללמוד את הפרויקט, ולהפעיל אותו בקרב גנים הנמצאים במצוקה במחוזות סנדאי ואופונטו שנפגעו מהצונאמי. ההרצאה תתאר את הסיוע שניתן ע"י המשלחת הישראלית במהלך השנתיים האחרונות. ההתערבות שנעשתה כללה השתלמויות ולימוד פרויקט חיבוקי והראצינואל שעומד מאחוריו לאנשי מקצוע, צוותי בתי חולים, אוניברסיטאות, גננות וכן התערבות ישירה שנעשתה עם מאות ילדים והוריהם בגנים שנפגעו מהצונאמי במחוז סנדאי. ההרצאה תלווה בקטעי סרטים שצולמו במהלך ההתערבות. משלחת הסיוע ליפן היתה מטעם משרד החוץ הישראלי, שגרירות ישראל בטוקיו וארגון ג'וינט ישראל, כאשר השתתפו בה דר' פלורה מור, דר' שי חן-גל מארגון "אשלים ג'וינט ישראל" , והגב' דניאל הדסי מטעם משרד החוץ הישראלי. ד"ר שי חן-גל, פסיכולוג קליני, מפתח ומנהל פרוייקטים בנושא מצבי לחץ וטראומה באשלים גוינט ישראל ובשירות הפסיכולוגי הייעוצי במשרד החינוך. פסיכולוג ראשי של בתי הספר של משרד התעשייה, המסחר והתעסוקה. מרצה באוניברסיטת חיפה בחוג לחינוך. |
