Kendo Equipments Donation Ceremony at the Embassy

More than a hundred people in Israel today enjoy kendo, a Japanese martial art of sword-fighting.
On February 20, 2012, at the Embassy of Japan in Tel Aviv was held a Kendo Equipments Donation Ceremony.
All Japan Kendo Federation (AJKF) sent to Israel Kendo & Budo Federation (IKBF) 20 sets of carbon-fiber-swords, uniforms, protective gears, etc., including those of children size.
Ambassador Sato made his remarks in Hebrew, expressing his appreciation to IKBF for their contribution to spreading the Japanese culture to the people of Israel.
He also explained how encouraging it is to see the two federations in both counties deepening their friendship despite the distance.
Mr. Yoram Weisbrod, President of IKBF expressed his sincere gratitude to AJKF and the Embassy for their longstanding cooperation.
After a gift catalogue donation, 4 boys, Kazuki, Avishai, Matan and Uri, put on the donated equipments and made a brief demonstration, showing improvements in their techniques that they practiced through daily trainings.
