Remarks by H.E. Amb. Matsutomi and by Dr. Bornstein

| On June 25th, 2015, a conferment ceremony of "2015 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals" in honor of Dr. Roni Aaron Bornstein (Chairman of the Israel-Japan Friendship Society and Chamber of Commerce), was held at the Ambassador's Residence in which Dr. Bornstein received the Imperial decoration "The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon" for the contributions to the enhancement of economic relations and mutual understandings between Japan and Israel, including improvement of Japanese food awareness in Israel, through his 30-year business with Japan. Following a congratulatory remarks by Ambassador Matsutomi, on which enormous contribution by Dr. Bornstein on bilateral relationship was pointed out, the Decoration and its Patent were presented to the recipient. Then Dr. Bornstein expressed appreciation for the conferment and the Hon. Mr. Moshe Fadlon, Mayor of Herzliya, also addressed congratulatory speech. The ceremony was continued in good and sociable atmosphere with the last and surprising event: Mrs. Bornstein and their sons gave congratulatory speech without advanced notice to Dr. Bornstein.
