The potential of unintended war in the Korean Peninsula, which might lead to North Korean attack on Japan, although Pyongyang and Washington do not intend to start a war despite the militant rhetoric and the rising tension with China, are some of the main challenges that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is facing in his new term in office." In this lecture, Dr. Levkowitz will focus on Japan's strategic policies recommendations to deal with these challenges. He will analyze Japan's defense policy, the bilateral and multilateral polices that Tokyo can pursue in dealing with challenges.
