POSITION TITLE: ECONOMIC CLERK OPENING DATE: MARCH 17, 2016 CLOSING DATE: MARCH 22, 2016 WORK HOURS: 36 HOURS AND 15 MINUTES WORK WEEK BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION: This position is located in the Embassy of Japan in Tel Aviv. The incumbent serves as an Economic Clerk, who acts as an advisory to the Economic attaché. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: NOTE: All applicants must address each of the criteria detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. LANGUAGE: Native or Fluent Communication Skills in English and Hebrew (Please note: these skills will be tested. Further skill in Japanese is useful but not necessary.) JOB KNOWLEDGE: Good working knowledge of macroeconomic indicators, industry in Israel with the ability to quickly produce various reports regarding economic indicators, phenomena and events in English aided by the usage of public information or upon verbal communications by relevant persons. WORK CONDITION: You will be requested to work on holidays or provide overtime work on weekdays depending on special situations. for example, a seminar that would be held by the Embassy in the late afternoon/evening hours. (Please note: transportation expenses to events are not reimbursed and must be paid out of pocket by the staff member). SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package i.e. Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint. HOW TO APPLY: Applicants must submit a CV document to be considered as a candidate.
