| "Trojan Women" Presented at Cameri Theatre |

| From December 29, 2012 to January 5, 2013, "Trojan Women", a Greek tragedy by Euripides was presented at the Cameri Theatre as a due finale of the celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Israel. The play was presented in the form of a great cultural collaboration among the Cameri Theatre, the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre and the Japan Foundation after long preparation of 3 years. Directed by Yukio Ninagawa, a world renowned Japanese director, the project also realized unprecedented ethnic eclecticism and cultural emersion by starring Japanese, Jewish and Arab actors and actresses. Each stage enjoyed rapturous applause and standing ovation from the audience, who filled the seats every night. |
